How pricing works
Prices on electricalwholesaler.uk are account-based. The price you see depends on whether you are signed in and which account tier you are on.

An account is required to place an order — register here or sign in.
Account tiers
Retail
All new accounts start on the Retail tier. Retail pricing includes discounts across most product categories. No application is needed — discounts apply automatically once you are signed in.
Contractor
The Contractor tier is for trade customers: electricians, contractors, and businesses with regular purchasing needs. Contractor pricing offers higher discounts than Retail across most product categories.
Contractor pricing requires an upgrade request — see below.
Applying for Contractor pricing
- Add your business details to your profile — business name and registration number are required.
- Open a support ticket at /c/support-tickets to request an upgrade.
- We will review your request and be in touch.
Account upgrades are at our discretion. Submitting a request does not guarantee an upgrade — we consider factors such as our existing relationship and your purchasing history. We reserve the right to upgrade or not upgrade any account.
Contractor pricing applies to orders placed after your account is upgraded. It does not apply retroactively to previous orders.
Common questions
Do I need an account to see discounted prices?
Yes. Prices shown to visitors who are not signed in are full prices. Sign in or create an account to see your tier pricing.
Do discounts apply to all products?
Discounts apply across most product categories. The discounted price is shown on the product page when you are signed in.
What if I add items to my cart before signing in?
Your cart will update to your account tier pricing when you sign in or register. The price at checkout reflects your account tier.
